I often start a class with a review, accomplished by pre-duping a hand (one that wasn't reached in last week's lesson) in several duplicate boards (does not matter who the dealer is on a board - just name the dealer). Students get 'warmed up' by playing this hand, get a brief review and are more receptive to the new lesson of the day, I can start the class promptly without preamble while getting the cards out to each table (to be sorted into lesson hands afterwards).
